Why PLAY?

Play is not just for children!  At some point along the way, most of get the message that we should stop “acting like children”.  Exercise becomes something serious, something punishing.  At PlayFit AVL, we believe it doesn’t have to be this way!  We believe fitness should be fun and exciting!  We focus on bodyweight exercises, games and the use of novel tools to help you achieve your goals.  We work on improving your functional movements (jumping, squatting, hopping, pushing, pulling) using this unique approach. Whether you have some bucket list items you want to tick off, like running a marathon, or you just want be able to unload groceries without pain, we can help you get there.

Research on Play

There is a lot of research on the benefits of play for all stages of life.  Play not only adds joy and laughter to your life, but it also helps reduce stress and increase energy.  Play can help you feel connected to other people.  Playing with your family can make everyone closer.  Play helps stimulate creativity and increases learning.
